Around the House · First · Milestones

Athena turns 7 months.

Athena is still exploring all of the different sounds she can make. She doesn’t yet know what she is saying or what it means, but this cleverly timed and edited video seems to suggest that her favorite person in the whole world is her daddy.

As each day passes, Athena keeps getting better at scooting around the house. She started off just leaning into the walker and using her momentum to roll forward, now, just a few days later Athena is fairly good at moving forward putting one leg in front of another. She is on her way to walking very quickly.  Its been a milestone we have been eagerly awaiting but also cautiously concerned for since we know she will undoubtedly try to reach and grab and run towards everything that catches her attention.

As of recent Athena has been chowing down on her milk, cereals, and purees. She has steadily increased her consumption as her activity has increased. Some of her favorite foods include Sweet Potato purees, Carrot purees, and fresh Strawberries. Her  favorite pastimes include being read to, bouncing around in her Little Einstein’s bouncer, and watching the music from Disney’s Moana, including  How Far I’ll Go, You’re Welcome, and Shiny. At 7 months old Athena weighs about 22lbs 6oz and measures 28.5 inches long. We love our little Atheenbeeps. View Athena’s picture with the Easter bunny here.
