Happy Birthday Athena. This last month totally flew by. It started off with us having Athena try some real food for the first time. Since then her appetite for vegetable purees and rice cereals has grown. As of now she’s eating a couple ounces of either twice a day on top of the 30-36 ounces of formula she drinks.

We had the good fortune of having Athena grab her own bottle early on . This month she has become quite skilled with not only holding her bottle but also with moving the bottle around her mouth and back and fourth from her chest and also reinserting it when it falls out.

Athena has always loved chewing on absolutely everything, but during this last week she has become increasingly agitated in the evenings and incessantly chews on her toys . Her gums are swollen and she is showing clear signs of teething.

As of today she weighs in at 19 lbs 3oz and 26.5″ long. Athena is growing so quickly and we couldn’t be happier.
