“You blink and you’ll miss it… They grow up so fast” This is perhaps one of the more resounding pieces of advice we have received form our various friends and colleagues that offered us advice when Athena was born. The past year has really flown by. Jennie and I often look at Athena’s baby pictures and reminisce in awe as we wonder if she was ever really that small.

Last week, we celebrated Athena’s Birthday with a Willy Wonka inspired Chocolate Factory Party. Athena, and about 90 of her closest friends and family, got together to have a sugar laced celebration with seemingly endless sweet treats. It was nice seeing such a large turn out of people joining us to celebrate our little one.  Athena was fortunate to be showered with gifts including clothes, toys, and a generous amount of books, as seen below.

Athena currently measures 31 inches tall and weighs in at 29 pounds 7 ounces. Her favorite movie to watch is Moana. She can watch that movie time after time and not get tired of it. Her favorite words to say are hi and bye while waving and she enjoys saying bravo while clapping. Her favorite food is Tomato. She likes to play with her activity block and her favorite book is Old MacDonald.
